My oh my!

Yep, I have been feeling about like that since early last week. Needless to say, the webserver moved DID NOT go well. I moved it over here and after a day realized that the site was offline, except for on the local network. I eventually found a way around the problem, but had already setup for a domain transfer. That completed yesterday and, well, I stayed up until two trying to get the site back up. I came home from work and got at it and FINALLY figured out the problem. Long story short, I learned a bunch of new stuff the hard way, but I’m better off because of it. I’ll be back to posting ASAP.

Tarheels are still in it…………!!!!!
Sorry VCU, nice try though.

RAMS BEAT DUKE!

I am not going to post this and tell you I have been a closet Rams fan since I moved to Richmond. I will say, however, that I am a Richmond fan and there isn’t any other team I would have liked to see VCU beat than Duke. Wow, what a game. I chose Duke over VCU in my brackets because, well, I didn’t think VCU had it in em. Boy was I wrong, they kept the pressure on the entire game. I hope they do it again against PITT tonight. If it comes down to UNC and VCU though, well…….. sorry VCU, I guess you’re my second favorite.

Verizon Got Me Good

Sorry for the outage everyone! I moved the server over to the new house early this week and got it all setup and configured, so I thought. As it turns out, my new router from Verizon was nice enough to redirect ME to my site, but no one on the outside could get to the site. And yes, it took me a day or two to realized this fact. Anyway, I did some research and found that Verizon prohibits any and all inbound Port 80 requests, which is why my website was down. I started the process of transferring my domain to a new host and it will not be complete until next week or so. Until then, I have found a workaround! And it works, just not as well as I would like it to. Don’t erase me from your favorites just yet. We’ll be back to full steam in no time.

I have a couple of rants I’ll post later today. I love living in a house, apartments, I hate apartments…..

Why I ALWAYS lived on the top floor……….

Ok, so this is very much a moo point, you know, it doesn’t matter because it’s a cows opinion, BUT some people never cease to amaze me. You see, we have lived in our apartment complex for a pretty long time. We have seen all but one tenant in our building come and go. This includes the apartment directly below us. When we moved in there was a guy we called Senior’ Creepy living below us, a year or so ago he moved out and an older lady moved in. She seemed nice enough, but within the first week she complained to the office about the noise coming from our apartment. Specifically, from walking……….. WALKING!!!! Now I understand that jumping jacks and full contact sports are frowned upon at 3AM, but walking to a fro after 11 is not a crime. It’s a part of living in an apartment. Since then, we have not heard anything out of the ornery neighbor. I actually recall having a discussion with her and she apologized for filing the complaint. Apparently she was not aware of how loud the wood floors were and I guess just figured we favored Dutch Clogs when at home. Anyway, nothing has happened since then, until last week.

You see, we have been staying at our new house for over a week now. I found a shiny new notice last Tuesday or Wednesday, meaning we had not been staying there for the last few nights. This notice explained that the office had received a complaint about noise coming from our apartment, specifically loud noises. First off, loud noises is not very specific, second, we have hardly been there. The way I figure it, we stopped by there to pick up some clothes and whatnot and it happened to be after 11pm. We were there for maybe 30 minutes.

Down / Up

And it’s moved, Comcast is now history and the webserver lives on. I can’t promise there won’t be any more outages, but my guess is that I don’t get enough hits in one day that a few minute outage will be a problem. So to sum it up in a few words……. Ya’ll keep coming back now, ya here!

UNC No.1 Seed!

Ok, not many people know this about me, because I really don’t follow sports of any kind closely, but when it comes to college ball, UNC is my team. And I have Dad to thank for that. I think DUKE was the worst four letter word around our house actually.

Anyway, they won the ACC championship and are the No. 1 seed going into the NCAA tournament! Pretty awesome, I guess until they are out, or the tournament is over, I will be on the hunt to catch as many of their games as I can. Cheers for now and GO HEELS!

Kamen Lee Dot Com Moving Day

If in the next few days you have a hard time getting to Kamen Lee Dot Com, worry not, it is time to can Comcast and move the webserver over to the new house. During the move there will be some downtime and once moved it may take some time for me to get it set in the permanent spot, therefore it may have to be taken down whilst moving it around the house and re-cabling. If it’s down, come back later, by then it will be up.
