You know, it’s funny. Maybe it’s my imagination, but it seems to me that the internet gets rather quiet during the weekends. You would think the opposite would be happening, but sites that are updated with user generated content really slow down to a crawl on the weekends. Digg, for example, seems to have less new stories on the front page during the weekend than they do during the week. Even my site slows down a bit on weekend because I am usually in family mode and that keeps me away from the office for the most part.
I guess what I am getting at is that I suspect that there is a lot of goofing off going on in the office when we’re supposed to be working. I will not speak to my own habits for it may directly incriminate me…or not, but I have a feeling Digg and sites like it get their traffic and content from those who do a little work while goofing off instead of goofing off a little while working.

I think you are right. I have been tracking my site logs and have noticed a drop in visits and bandwidth on weekends. Going back to November on my other sites I noticed the same pattern. On the weekend traffic drops about 50 to 65%%.
