Jelly Belly, Belly Flops

I got a chance to stop by the Jelly Belly factory today. I didn’t go on the tour, but I did check out the sweet visitors center that was basically a big store offering all things Jelly Belly. I will post more about the visit soon because I found somthing REALLY awesome, but for now. Check out the Belly Flops, 2 pound bags of irregular Jelly Belly Beans. I didn’t buy them, but the name was just too good not to share…

Bull Fish

So I have been pondering this fish and though I think it would be great to have one of my very own, assuming it would live in a tank, I feel like the glass of a standard fish tank might be a wee bit weak and not much of a deterent if my dear Bull Fish wanted to escape……

This Dump Truck is Tight Yo!

image

I don’t know about you, but I have never seen a dump truck with hydraulics. I mean, dump trucks HAVE hydraulic systems, but not so they can “roll with the three wheel motion”. Thanks for the term Dr. Dre . Anyway, all they need now is a new set of rims and a bumpin’ system and they will be able to haul rocks at the quarry like a pimp.

President Bush on Deal or No Deal

When I first saw this article I thought it was really stupid and started internally mocking the President and the show. But with a little more consideration, I actually think this is a nice gesture. Read the info and decide for yourself. Rep. or Dem., politics and viewpoints should be set aside.

President Bush appearing on NBC’s ‘Deal’

By James Hibberd

President Bush … open your case.

The commander-in-chief will make a guest appearance on Monday’s episode of the NBC game show “Deal or No Deal.”

Bush taped a video message for “Deal” contestant Capt. Joseph Kobes, a U.S. Army transportation officer who served three tours of duty in Iraq. Kobes won a Purple Heart and Bronze Star and volunteered for his second and third deployments.

“The show’s producers contacted the White House after learning from Capt. Kobes that the president is one of his heroes,” White House spokesman Tony Fratto said. “And it really is, actually, an emotional moment for Capt. Kobes and the family. And so we look forward to that, and we all wish him luck as well.”

“Deal” frequently surprises contestants with supportive visits by their heroes, but the president is the highest-profile person to appear on the show. Bush shot the message at the White House for an episode that taped in March.
In the message, Bush thanks Kobes for his service and wishes him good luck in trying to win the show’s $1 million prize. Referencing the difficulty of balancing the budget as president, Bush also jokingly asks “Deal” host Howie Mandel how he would feel hosting a $3 trillion dollar reality show.

No word, however, whether the president’s message proved lucky for the contestant.
