This American Life, hosted by Ira Glass, is a really well done an interesting show. Ira Glass just started using Twitter and, as you might have guessed, @iraglass is his username. Anyway, one of his first few posts was a link to some pretty nifty animation to go along with a This American Life story.

Carbon Leaf is back in town this week and you can see them for free!
I have been following these guys for five years or so and though I tend to be all over the map when it comes to my likes and dislikes in music. Carbon Leaf has remained as a staple in my musical diet.
Never heard them? You have a free opportunity to check them out.
This Friday (May 16th) at Brown’s Island is where you want to be. The show goes from 6-9, so lets hope this long run of nasty weather we have been experiencing stays away long enough for us to enjoy the outside and hear some tasty tunes!

If I happened to see this cloud creeping my way I would probably be freaking out and wondering if my minutes were numbered. But at the same time, I am pretty sure I wouldn’t able to look away because that’s just awesome looking. So I would be excitedly scared for my life……. or something like that….

So last week was not a banner week, by any means, but I did manage to lose 4 more pounds. This brings my weight loss total to 9 after two weeks.
Last week was not a banner week because I wasn’t very active. Things were very busy during the week and the weekend was extremely busy, that led to me opting out of exercise during the few times I had a chance….. yep, feeling pretty lazy right about now.
Anyway, I did manage to control my meal portions well. I did have a family meal on Sunday that left me feeling stuffed to the gills, but all other meals were in the “I had enough, but am not full” category, which is one thing I am really aiming to “master” as a permanent change in my eating habits.
So week two is done and I am just shy of the 5 pounds a week pace I set in the first week. As long as I am consistently losing weight, I am not concerned with the pace. I say this because my goal is to lose it and never gain it back, not to lose a ton of weight quickly.
See you next week!

So apparently it’s video day here @ Kamen Lee Dot Com. I ran across another Mac based You Tube video that is very, very cool. I found this extremely innovative and I imagine it took quite a long time to put together and sync up with the music. Nice work indeed.

A digital filmmaker named Dennis Liu has made an amazing video for The Birds and the Bee’s
lovely song “Again & Again”. The set? His Mac desktop. You sort of
have to see it for yourself to understand; luckily, Dennis has dropped
it on YouTube so that the world can see it in low-res glory:

We were watching The Tonight Show on Thursday night and they have this segment call Zoo Tube. It’s almost like Jay Leno is the next host of funniest home videos. I am a big fan of funny video and I have to say that some of these are the cream of the crop. Be sure to watch for the goat. I almost fell of the bed laughing at that video.
