Google Favicon Looks Different

Google is always changing it’s Logo on the front page, but the Favicon in the address bar seems like it has always been the standard Google colored G.

But this morning I saw something different, wonder if its temporary or if they are going to start moving away from their primary color palette and change their look, a re-branding if you will.

A lot of assumptions being made from one Favicon I know, but you never know…

Seems Reasonable Enough To Me…

Original Tony Hawk Pro Skater Commercial

That game was awesome! I still have one of the newer versions on PS2 which I break out once in a while for some super rad skating fun time! I actually remember playing the first version like crazy. There was nothing like it and it ruled! Thanks THPS, I have spent many an hour at your controls and those hours were fine, mighty fine.

Verizon FiOS Makes Me Happy…

3AM Josh posted his Speedtest.net results and I just had to post mine as well. I used to have a Comcast cable modem and it was pretty decent. Verizon FiOS kicks the pants off of Comcast though… The ONE and only disadvantage… Verizon blocks incoming port 80 requests, so I can’t run Kamen Lee Dot Com from my house… which REALLY stinks, but I am used to dealing with Web Hosts and their uptime is probably better than mine would ever be… so cheers Verizon FiOS, you make me happy with all of your glassy, fiberous, bandwithy goodness!

Monday Morning Weigh In – Week 4

I’ll keep this short… Looks like I found out what would happen if I ate somewhat reasonably and didn’t workout at all… Nothing. There’s always Week 5 I guess…

Burn Your Plastic Jesus

So You Think You Can Pop and Lock?

This is Robert Muraine, he just blew the minds of the So You Think You Can Dance judges and waltzed… eh, I mean Pop Locked his way to the Vegas round of the show. I have never seen anyone move quite like this. Seriously, it’s like he’s a robot or something.

I think he Can Dance

Richmond Photography Meetup Group

image

I recently found a group on Meetup.com that had been formed for Richmond photographers. Last night was my first time out with them and although there were only 5 of us there, it was very cool. We met @ Legend’s brewery and went from there to a parking area near the Robert E. Lee bridge. We setup on the bridge just before it started getting dark and stayed out there until well after dark. I managed to get a lot of good long exposure shots and even a few wild experimental shots. If you live in or near Richmond, and are even moderately “into” photography, I highly recommend checking out this group.

You can find the group HERE on the Meetup website and you can find a few of my photos from last night HERE.

I managed to get a few good shots. I did notice that my long lens had some debris on it and though I could not see the defects in the field, I saw it clear as day when I got home. I did make brightness and contrast adjustments to a few of the images, cleaned up a couple of defects on one, and colorized one, but for the most part, the post processing was very minor. I really look forward to going on these outings more often. It will give me a chance to take more pictures and improve my ability and technique.

Seriously, if you are into photography at all, check out the Meetup group, I look forward to an outing that has 10+ people attending!
